A family is pleading for help after their three-month-old son, Samuel Mbithi, was detained at a Nairobi hospital due to an outstanding bill of Ksh 800,000. The debt continues to grow as the baby remains in the hospital.

Samuel was admitted to Link Specialized Hospital in Parklands after being diagnosed with a meningitis-related illness. His father, Festus Mwololo, who has no stable income, says his son has been on life support machines since his admission. A distraught Mwololo says he is unable to work as he waits for a miracle at the hospital.

Reporters were not allowed to interview the doctors or hospital management regarding the baby’s condition. The family is now relying on the generosity of well-wishers to help them settle the bill and bring their son home.

“My only hope now lies in people of goodwill to come out and assist my son and our family so that our life could return to normalcy,” a teary Mwololo said. “God will bless you as you prepare to come through for us.”

Anyone willing to assist the family can do so through Till No. 6412896.
