Hon. Machua Waithaka, the Member of Parliament for Kiambu Constituency, has recently shared updates on various development projects and youth initiatives through his official X account (@MachuaWaithaka). These posts provide insight into ongoing efforts aimed at improving infrastructure and fostering opportunities for residents in the constituency. On June 30, 2025, Waithaka announced the launch of Season 4 of the Free Weekend Academy, a collaboration with IYF Kiambu.

The program’s orientation is set for July 19, 2025, at 2 PM at the NGCDF Tower in Kiambu, opposite the Kiambu Police Station. The initiative is designed to provide skill-building opportunities for local youth.Infrastructure development has also been a focus, with several road projects underway.

On June 26, 2025, the MP shared that the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) is installing concrete curbs along the Riabai-Gichocho Road. Additionally, on June 25, 2025, he reported progress on the Gichocho-Ndumberi Road, where gravelling, murraming, and compaction works are ongoing. Other roadworks include the Kirigiti Stadium–Charismatic Road, noted on June 18, 2025, and repairs to paved waterways and culvert installations on Church Road and Gachichio Road in Kiamumbi, as mentioned on June 20, 2025.On June 22, 2025, Waithaka posted about a graduation ceremony at Ndumberi Stadium, where young people completed various short courses.

The event highlighted efforts to provide training and skill development for the constituency’s youth.In a post on June 28, 2025, the MP noted that he was ranked eighth nationally and fourth in the Mt. Kenya region by Mizani Africa for his work in Kiambu Constituency. The updates reflect ongoing efforts to address local infrastructure needs and support community development programs.
